    The week of August 30 - September 3 is info week. We will have booths set up on the ag campus where potential Membership Candidates can learn about us and sign-up for rush! The week after that, September 7-10 is rush week where any female University of Tennessee student, regardless of major, can come, hang out, and learn about us and decide if they want to rush!

    What do I have to do to rush Sigma Alpha?

    -Rush is a very easy process! Our rush week is a week of activities that all the active sisters participate in such as ice skating, luaus, cook-outs, and so much more fun! If you want to become a member you just have to come to a few rush events and meet some of the actives. 

     

    Who can become a member of Sigma Alpha?

    -Any undergrad at the University of Tennessee can rush Sigma Alpha!

     

    Do I have to be an agriculture major?

    -No!!! We are an agriculture sorority, so we focus on the world of agriculture, and most of our sisters are ag majors of some sort, but you do not have to be pursuing a degree from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. We have all sorts of majors: Animal Science, Food Science, Plant Science, Communications, Nursing, Anthropology, and several others!

     

    Is there a grade requirement for becoming a member?

    -to be an active sister, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.25 or above. 

     

    Are there any other requirements to be in Sigma Alpha?
    -Participation in another organization at the University of Tennessee OR hold a Job. Some organizations our sisters have participated in are UT Student Livestock Association, Collegiate FFA, UT Ducks Unlimited, Pride of the Southland Marching Band, UT Spirit Squad, and so many others!
